Software Engineer — Greater Jakarta, Indonesia

Moh. ZulkifliKatili

I build systems, products, and experiences that solve real problems.

I build payment systems, APIs, AI / RAG tools, knowledge graphs, data products, interfaces.

02 / Experience

Where I've been building.

  1. Building payment systems — payment gateway, PPOB, B2B/B2C flows and APIs.

    • Maintain the payment gateway core, handling hundreds of thousands of transactions a day.
    • Bank integrations under SNAP (Bank Indonesia's open-API standard), including the access-token and request-signature layer.
    • Standardised PPOB biller integrations behind one schema and one interface — adding a new service went from about two weeks to about three days.
    • Moved busy transaction jobs onto asynchronous message queues; new payment gateway and PPOB services in Go as parts of the monolith are split out.
    • Handle the PPOB project with a team almost entirely in Shanghai.
    • Zero-downtime releases with blue-green deployment, on Huawei Cloud with Alibaba Cloud as the disaster-recovery site.
    • Ledger integrity checks, revertible data patches and dispute-resolution tooling.
    • Payment Link front end; code review and onboarding new engineers.
  2. A suite of open-source developer tools — database studio, database management, AI retrieval (RAG) and cloud storage.

    • Front-end contributions in Vue.
  3. Led development of TIARA v3, Bank Indonesia's AI policy chatbot — architecture, features and end-to-end deployment.

    • RAG over PostgreSQL + pgvector with Gemini, plus a pandas table-query tool the model can call.
    • Self-hosted GLiClass classifier screening incoming prompts for injection attempts.
    • 88% response accuracy and 100% feature-test success, including out-of-scope handling.
    • User and admin portals in React / Next.js, with full technical documentation.
  4. Led development of RAISA, a risk-assessment system for transaction data from payment service providers (PJP) and money changers (KUPVA).

    • Net Risk Assessment (NRA APU) prediction reaching 95% accuracy with machine learning.
    • Analytical risk dashboard over 50+ million transactions a month.
    • Cut manual analysis time by up to 30% through automation.
  5. Spatial sales intelligence for a Daihatsu dealer group across three provinces.

    • Spatial analysis of sales across 3 provinces, 54 districts, 709 sub-districts and 7,394 villages.
    • Plotly dashboards, FastAPI spatial backend and a Livewire web app.

  6. API modules for a university academic-affairs SaaS.

    • 20+ NestJS API modules and 800+ commits, following SOLID principles.
    • Written in TypeScript, backed by Supabase.

05 / About

Engineer by training, designer by habit, researcher at heart.

I started as a graphic designer in a campus open-source community, moved into web development, and went deep into knowledge graphs and machine learning during my master's at IPB University.

Today I build payment systems and backend services from Greater Jakarta — and I still care about how things look and feel. Kiki is what most people call me.
